He’s not just the man behind the quirky Dude poster lighting up social media, Pradeep Ranganathan is one of Tamil cinema’s most exciting new voices. He is a popular actor and director in Tamil cinema. He became well known after directing Comali and later starring in and directing Love Today, which was a big hit.

Pradeep, 31, studied engineering at SSN College of Engineering. His short film Whatsapp Kadhal in 2015 brought him attention from Ravi Mohan who gave him a chance to direct Comali. Pradeep’s first feature film Comali starring Kajal Aggarwal was a commercial success.
In his next directorial Love Today, Pradeep made his acting debut. The movie, despite being a small-budget, was a big hit. Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s film Loveyapa was a remake of Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Today.
Loveyapa, however, failed to impress the Hindi audience.

Dude is an upcoming Tamil film featuring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju. The film is directed by Keerthiswaran and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Dude will be a pan India film, releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
