Sky Force Box Office: Sky Force, the big-budget action film featuring Akshay Kumar with Veer Pahariya is a debut act, has emerged out quite strong at box office as a film that released on Friday manages to rake in around Rs 61.75 cr net over a weekend, owing to the festival of Republic Day falling during that period.
Sky Force opened with Rs 12.25 crore on Friday, doubled the amount on Saturday at Rs 22 crore, and zoomed on Sunday at Rs 27.50 crore. This has come about with a very good 42.44% audience turnout in the Hindi market. With gross earnings of Rs 42 crore in its first two days, Sky Force box office is likely to cross the Rs 100 crore mark in its first week.

Co-directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force is the story of IAF officer T. Vijaya (Veer Pahariya), who goes missing during the 1965 India-Pakistan War.
Akshay Kumar plays KO Ahuja, a determined officer who embarks on a daring mission to rescue him. Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur add depth to the story with their powerful performances.
For Akshay Kumar, the film marks a much-needed comeback after a string of underperforming movies. Recent releases like Raksha Bandhan and Selfiee struggled at the box office, but Sky Force box office collection so far has exceeded expectations. Its first Sunday collection of Rs 27.50 crore even surpassed OMG 2 (Rs 17.55 crore).

With a budget of Rs 160 crore, Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya’s Sky Force is set to break even. However, it will have to face stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor’s Deva, which is scheduled for January 31.
Combining an engaging narrative with stellar performances, Sky Force has already revived Akshay Kumar’s box office run and introduced Veer Pahariya as a promising new talent. In terms of opening weekend performance, the movie is assuredly among the top successes in 2025.
