Pahalgam Terrorist Attack: Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey has come out strongly against Pakistan in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that claimed the lives of several Hindu tourists. Expressing his outrage on social media, Shorey didn’t mince words as he condemned the act of violence and held Pakistan responsible for nurturing terrorism across the border. His fiery statement has sparked widespread discussion online, echoing the sentiments of many grieving and angry Indians.
Pahalgam Terrorist Attack
At least 26 people lost their lives and many others were injured after terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The incident took place in Pahalgam, a well-known tourist hotspot in the picturesque and mountainous region, which has seen a revival in tourism, particularly during the summer months.
Eyewitnesses reported that several terrorists stormed Baisaran Valley and began firing. Chaos broke out as terrified tourists scrambled for safety, but the vast open landscape offered little to no shelter, leaving them vulnerable in the line of fire.
Some eyewitnesses also alleged that the attackers targeted victims based on their religion. According to their accounts, the terrorists questioned the tourists about their faith, asked some of the men to recite the ‘Kalima’ an Islamic declaration of faith and executed those who could not. These chilling claims have added a disturbing communal angle to the already horrifying attack.
Ranvir Shorey On Pahalgam Terrorist Attack
Lashkar-e-taiba, Pakistan’s terrorist organisation is most likely to have operated the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Lashkar-e-taiba has executed major terror attacks in India several times including the most terrifying 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. The Resistance Front’ (TRF), a shadow group of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group, has reportedly carried out the terrorist attack in Jammu & Kashmir.
Bollywood actor Ranvir Shorey who’s known for brutally honest comments on X, expressed anger and frustration over the Pahalgam terror attack. He directly held Pakistan responsible for the terrorist attack on innocent Hindu tourists. Ranvir in his tweet wrote, “I woke up still as angry and sad as I was yesterday, but with a certain clarity: People who will not live and let live in peace, should die.”
Reposting a viral video from Pahalgam, Shorey quoted,”Unarmed. Tourists. Textbook Terrorism.”
Ranvir Shorey also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi who had to cut short his Saudi Arabia trip due to this attack, to “go for his”jugular “! Nothing less will do!”
“Accusing me of pushing for genocide, when people of my profile and faith have just been massacred by Islamist terrorists? Have some shame!” tweeted Ranvir.
