Actor Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his residence in Meerut on Monday, according to several reports. As per News18, authorities have stated that the 36-year-old actor is believed to have died by suicide. Although no suicide note has been found, his death is reportedly suspected to be connected to mental stress and financial difficulties.

According to reports, local authorities arrived at the scene after receiving information about the incident. Upon reaching the location, they found the actor already deceased.

The body has since been sent to a nearby facility for a postmortem examination.

Initial investigation findings suggest that there are no signs of foul play or involvement of a third party. However, the police are continuing their investigation into the case.

After the incident, police have now initiated inquiries with his family and close associates to determine possible causes behind Lalit’s death. As no suicide note has been recovered, authorities are also considering mental health and recent personal struggles.

As per reports, Lalit’s close people claim that he has been dealing with mental stress and personal challenges for some time.

His last rites were reportedly performed in Meerut on Monday evening.

Lalit Manchanda featured in multiple Bollywood films and television shows, primarily in brief supporting roles. His appearances included popular series like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, India’s Most Wanted, Crime Patrol, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

Reportedly, he lived in Mumbai for over ten years before relocating to Meerut around six months ago to stay with his brother.

As per Amar Ujala, he was survived by his wife, Taaru Manchanda.
