Ram Gopal Varma has come out in support of Allu Arjun. He has urged all actors to protest against Telangana Police for arresting Allu Arjun in Sandhya theatre stampede case.
“Every STAR should STRONGLY protest against @alluarjun ‘s ARREST because for any celebrity whether it’s a FILM STAR or a POLITICAL STAR , is it a crime for them to be ENORMOUSLY POPULAR???” Ram Gopal Verma said in a tweet.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who is known for speaking his mind that often lands him in controversy, has now come up in support of Allu Arjun.

He also mentioned Sridevi, “3 people died in the lakhs of crowd who came to see SRIDEVI in the shooting of my film KSHANA KSHANAM ..So will the #TelanganaPolice now go to #HEAVEN to ARREST #sridevi ???”
Ram Gopal Varma gave an example of Sridevi’s film to support Allu Arjun’s case. He said 3 people among the crowd had died during the shoot of his film with Sridevi. RGV asked the authorities, “Will the TelanganaPolice now go to heaven to arrest Sridevi?”

Allu Arjun who was arrested in connection with the death of a 35 year old woman is out on an interim bail. On December 4th, a massive crowd gathered at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre for a special premiere of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. The situation turned chaotic when the star himself made an appearance, drawing throngs of fans eager to catch a glimpse of the megastar. The crowd spiraled out of control, resulting in a stampede.
Amid the chaos, Revathi, 35, who was there with her 9-year-old son Sri Tej, tragically lost her life. Her son sustained serious injuries and has been undergoing treatment since the incident.
