Sunny Deol has confirmed being a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. In a recent interview, Sunny Deol revealed that he is one of the star cast of the highly anticipated project of Ramayana 2026. Deol also shed light on the film’s visual storytelling that has been going on in the filmmaker’s mind.
Deol said that Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana will be epic and great with visually appealing graphics and VFX like the ones in Avatar and Planet of the Apes. “I’m very sure it’s going to be great and I’m sure that everybody will love it,” said Sunny Deol.

Ramayana 2026 is going to be one of the most expensive movies of India with a gross budget of Rs 835 crore. The Ramayana movie budget of Rs 835 crore is just for part 1 and it could go higher than expected for the making of Ramayana part 2.
“Ramayana is not just a film but an emotion and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make it a global spectacle. The USD 100 Million ( ₹835 crore) budget is just for Ramayana: Part One,” said a source to Bollywood Hungama.
Ramayana Release date
Ramayana, produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, will get a release on Diwali 2026. Ramayana part 1 will release on Diwali 2026 while part two will release on Diwali 2027.
Ramayana will be made in two parts. This is something that Ranbir Kapoor revealed in an interview. India has high expectations from Ramayana. The last try by Om Raut in Adi Purush failed miserably. Om Raut’s Adipurush sparked a controversy after its release.
