Comedian Samay Raina announced on Wednesday that he has deleted all India’s Got Latent videos from his YouTube channel. He said the ongoing controversy had become “too much to handle.”
The issue started after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made controversial comments about parents and sex on a recent episode of the show. The clip went viral, and many people demanded action. In response, Allahbadia apologized, saying his words were a “lapse in judgment” and that “comedy is not his forte.”
All India’s Got Latent Episodes Deleted
Raina explained on X (formerly Twitter) that his goal was only to make people laugh. “Everything that is happening is too much for me. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure a fair inquiry,” he wrote.
The Maharashtra Cyber Department has now filed a police case (FIR) and summoned over 40 people, including Raina and Allahbadia, for questioning. The police have also asked the producers to take down all 18 episodes of the show. Officials said their initial investigation found that many participants in past episodes used vulgar and obscene language.

This controversy has also started a big debate about freedom of speech and what is acceptable in comedy.
The issue got worse when the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took notice, and the Information & Broadcasting Ministry ordered YouTube to delete the episode. People filed police complaints in many cities, and an FIR was registered in Assam.
The controversy also hurt Allahbadia’s career, he lost over 8,000 followers, and brands like Spotify, Mountain Dew, and Amazon Prime Video may cancel their deals with him. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also criticized the show, calling it disrespectful and inappropriate.
