Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy On Samay Raina Show

During the show, Allahbadia asked a contestant,“would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”

The clip spread quickly online, with many calling it disgusting and disrespectful. Journalist Neelesh Misra criticized influencers for making offensive content just to get views. Politicians like Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also spoke out, saying influencers should be more responsible.

The issue got worse when the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took notice, and the Information & Broadcasting Ministry ordered YouTube to delete the episode. People filed police complaints in many cities, and an FIR was registered in Assam.

The controversy also hurt Allahbadia’s career, he lost over 8,000 followers, and brands like Spotify, Mountain Dew, and Amazon Prime Video may cancel their deals with him. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also criticized the show, calling it disrespectful and inappropriate.

Feeling the pressure, Allahbadia apologized publicly, admitting that his joke was wrong and not funny. However, some people later pointed out that the same joke had been used on another YouTube show earlier, raising questions about whether he was being treated unfairly.
