Salman Khan’s clean-shaven avatar is back and fans seem to love it. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has wrapped up filming for his upcoming action thriller, Sikandar. The final scenes were shot in Mumbai with co-star Rashmika Mandanna, director A.R. Murugadoss, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. After completing the shoot, Salman shaved off the beard he had grown for his role and returned to his signature clean-shaven look.
The movie was filmed over 90 days across Mumbai and Hyderabad and features a mix of romance, politics, drama, and revenge. It includes four songs—three of them being dance numbers—and five major action sequences, promising a thrilling cinematic experience. Now in post-production, Sikandar is set to hit theaters on March 28, 2025, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr.
The film’s teaser, released last month, introduced Salman’s character, Sanjay, who is affectionately called Sikandar by his grandmother. Packed with intense action and Salman’s trademark powerful dialogues, the teaser generated a lot of buzz. Recently, a song from the movie, “Bam Bam Bhole,” was launched during the Holi festival, adding to the excitement.
Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, known for Ghajini, and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar marks their reunion with Salman Khan after their 2014 blockbuster Kick. The film is set for a massive release across 5,000 screens in India, making it one of the biggest films of the year.
After wrapping up the shoot, Salman was spotted in Mumbai post a dubbing session. Dressed in a blue and white checkered t-shirt, a black and white checkered jacket, baggy denim jeans, and a black cap, he greeted the paparazzi with a nod, further fueling fans’ excitement.
With the release date approaching, anticipation for Sikandar is at an all-time high, as fans look forward to an action-packed entertainer with Salman Khan’s trademark charisma.
