Ranbir-Alia And Family Meets PM Modi Ahead Of Raj Kapoor’s 100th Birth Anniversary

As the world celebrates the extraordinary Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary, the Kapoor family including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi. 

“We are deeply humbled and honored to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of the legendary Raj Kapoor,” penned Neetu Kapoor.

Alia Bhatt stunned in a red saree, perfectly complementing her husband Ranbir Kapoor, who looked dashing in a black suit. Kareena Kapoor Khan opted for a chic red floral kurta, while Saif Ali Khan exuded sophistication in a white-beige kurta pajama paired with a Nehru jacket, channeling the Modi style. Other Kapoor family members, including Babita Kapoor, Armaan Jain, and Karisma Kapoor, were also present to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary.

“Thank you Shri Modi ji for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us,” Neetu Kapoor further noted.

Riddhima Kapoor also shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram handle about her first encounter with PM Modi. “They say manifest and it happens. When honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji took the oath for the first time in 2014, I had really wished to meet him purely owing to his dynamism and charisma.”

On the centenary of Raj Kapoor, his iconic films are being re-released in Indian theatres in across 40 cities and 135 cinemas from December 13 to 15. Cinephiles and Raj Kapoor fans are geared up to feel him alive once again.
