Former Bollywood actor Mamta Kulkarni is set to become a Mahamandleshwar in the Kinnar Akhada. Ahead of her initiation, she performed a pind daan ceremony in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh on Friday. The announcement was made by Laxmi Narayan, the Acharya Mahamandleshwar of the Kinnar Akhada, during a press briefing.

Mamta Kulkarni, the glamorous star, is set to begin an extraordinary new chapter as the Mahamandleshwar of the Kinnar Akhara. Famous for her roles in 1990s hits like Karan Arjun and Aashiq Awara. Mamta’s journey from the glitz of Bollywood to the sanctity of spiritual leadership has stunned fans and the industry alike.

On January 24, Mamta will officially take on her new role in a grand ceremony steeped in tradition. The day will begin with her performing the Pind Daan ritual at the sacred Sangam—the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. This spiritual rite will culminate with her formal induction into the Kinnar Akhara at 6 PM, as reported by Aaj Tak.  

For Mamta, this marks a definitive break from her Bollywood past. After years away from the spotlight, she has embraced a life of spirituality, finding solace and purpose in her new path. Her induction into this revered position not only highlights her personal transformation but also shines a spotlight on the progressive mission of the Kinnar Akhara.
