Aashiqui 3 Postponed: In a surprising turn of events, actress Tripti Dimri has officially exited Aashiqui 3, the highly anticipated film starring Kartik Aaryan, according to the mid day.
Set to be directed by Anurag Basu, Aashiqui 3, which had generated a lot of buzz, is now facing an unexpected delay in its release. Sources suggest that the reasons behind Dimri’s exit are unknown, though the production team is working on finding a replacement.
Tripti Dimri became the lead actress of Aashiqui 3 with Kartik Aryan after the success of Animal. According to some reports, Trpti had also shot a few scenes a year ago for Aashiqui 3.

Aashiqui 3 Postponed: A source told mid-day that Aashiqui 3 is going through a title related dispute and is now ‘indefinitely delayed.’ The drama was originally set to be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt, but the discussion fell apart after a disagreement between the producers.
In March 2024, Bhushan Kumar, head of T-Series, revealed that he would be backing the Aaryan-Basu project on his own, renaming it Tu Aashiqui Hai as a separate venture. However, in November, sources informed Mid-Day that Aaryan was eager to bring the film back under the Aashiqui banner.

Aashiqui 3 Postponed-Legal Dispute
Bhushan Kumar’s T-series cannot use the title ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai’ or ‘Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai’ as per the Delhi High Court order which came around September in 2024. The co-producers of original Aashiqui, Vishesh Films, filed a lawsuit against T-series for naming the Kartik Aaryan starrer film using ‘Aashiqui’ in it.
“In light of the above, an interim injunction is granted in favour of the plaintiff (Vishesh Films), restraining the Defendant(T Series / Super Cassettes) , and/or anybody acting on their behalf, from using the title “Tu Hi Aashiqui”/ “Tu Hi Aashiqui Hai” and/or any other name/ title which uses the mark “Aashiqui”, in respect of their proposed film,” the Court ordered.
The producers of original Aashiqui are Mukesh Bhatt and Vishesh Bhatt (MD of Vishesh Films). Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt also produced Aashiqui 2 that was a breakthrough for Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.
However, on the ongoing dispute around Aashiqui 3, Mukesh Bhatt told the Times of India, “He was not understanding the core values of what Aashiqui should be and unintentionally he was doing more things to harm it than to do good for it. The idea is to protect the franchise.”
He also said that he didn’t depend on stars to make his original cult classic Aashiqui a hit. While Bhushan Kumar is keen on using Kartik Aaryan’s stardom to make money.
