India’s All We Imagine as Light directed by Payal Kapadia was nominated for the Golden Globes Award 2025 for the best motion picture. However, it didn’t bag the award.

Jacques Audiard directorial Emilia Pérez won the best motion picture in the 82nd Golden Globes awards. Jacques Audiard’s bold and genre-bending film Emilia Pérez is about four extraordinary women who embark on a quest for happiness, brought to life through a surreal journey of original songs and dance.
The film is made in three languages namely, Spanish, French and English. Emilia Pérez also stars Hollywood singer and pop singer icon Selena Gomez. Emilia Pérez is streaming on Netflix currently.
It has also won the 82nd Golden Globes 2025 awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture” and “Best Original Song (Motion Picture).

Payal Kapadia’s film All We Imagine As Light made the country proud with worldwide praise. All We Imagine As Light is a film about Nurse Prabha, played by the powerhouse of talent Kani Kusruti and her younger roommate Anu played by Divya Prabha.
All we imagine as light, written and directed by Indian filmmaker and FTII alumni Payal Kapadia who also made Afternoon clouds and A night of knowing nothing which won Golden Eye award for best documentary film at the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
