Azaad Box Office Collection

Azaad Box Office Collection: Abhishek Kapoor’s much-hyped film, Azaad, has had a disappointing start at the box office, marking an unexpected setback in his career.

Featuring debutantes Ajay Devgan’s nephew, Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, Raveena Tandon’s daughter, the film generated significant buzz. However, despite the star-studded lineage and marketing efforts, Azaad struggled to draw audiences, making it Kapoor’s first major box-office failure.

 Azaad Box Office Collection

As per the saclink report, Abhishek Kapoor’s movie ‘Azaad’ has not been able to cross 2 crores. The first day box office collection of Azaad is just 1.5 crores with poor occupancy rates throughout the day.

Abhishek Kapoor’s earlier films have established a remarkable standard of success. For instance, Kai Po Che (2013) opened with an impressive Rs 4.5 crore on its first day and went on to gross around Rs 50 crore domestically. Similarly, Kedarnath (2018) had a strong start with Rs 6.8 crore on its opening day, eventually earning Rs 66 crore in the domestic market.

The movie opened alongside Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency, which performed only marginally better, with a Rs 2.5 crore debut. Azaad is receiving a fairly lukewarm welcome, with audiences responding moderately to the film.

Abhishek Kapoor Movies And Launch Of New Faces

Abhishek Kapoor is known for introducing fresh talent to Bollywood, as seen with Sushant Singh Rajput in Kai Po Che and Sara Ali Khan in Kedarnath. Both films were huge successes, raising the bar high for newcomers.

Now, with his latest film Azaad, Kapoor is launching two new faces, Ajay Devgan’s nephew Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, Raveena Tandon’s daughter. However, the film is struggling to make its mark, facing stiff competition to match the achievements of its predecessors.

Abhishek Kapoor’s last movie was the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui , whose performance was also not special, its collection also exceeded 28 crores starting with 3.5 crores in opening.
