Ajay Devgn Raveena Tandon and Karishma Kapoor love triangle: Back in the 90s, Bollywood wasn’t just about hit films, it was a full-blown drama fest behind the scenes too. Word on the street was that Ajay Devgn, then riding high on his action-hero image, found himself tangled in not one, but two high-profile romances, with Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor.
According to reports, Ajay Devgan even called Raveena a ‘lier’ in an interview back in the 90s. It all started with Dilwale when Ajay Devgn and Raveena Tandon fell in love with each other. However, Raveena’s world fell apart when Ajay dumped her for Karishma Kapoor.
“Everyone knows that she is a born liar, that’s why her silly statements don’t upset me too much. But, this time she has gone too far, she has crossed the limits of decency. It’s high time I gave her some advice. This girl must go to a psychiatrist immediately to get her head examined. Otherwise, she will land up in a lunatic asylum. I’m quite willing to accompany her to the shrink’s office,” said Ajay.

In 1994, Ajay Devgn and Raveena Tandon were romantically linked during the filming of Dilwale, setting off a storm of tabloid buzz and turning their rumored romance into the hottest gossip of the year.
So Raveena and Ajay dated each other at the time of Dilwale, something Ajay always refused to accept. Later, He dumped Raveena and moved on to Karishma Kapoor. Ajay was simultaneously working with Karishma Kapoor in Suhaag, Jigar, Dhanwan (he allegedly got Raveena removed in Dhanwan and Manisha Koirala replaced her.)

What followed next, was a red hot bollywood gossip that fed the fashion magazines for years. Raveena and Ajay both would give interviews accusing each other of lying.
Raveena even tried attempting suicides as per reports. Ajay Devgan also got Raveena removed from several films including Vijaypath and Dhanwan. When stardust asked Ajay about this, he said, “I am not destroying anyone’s career. I have never told any producer to dump a heroine from my film. Speaking specifically about Vijaypath, yes, I had asked the producer to sign another hero because I did not want to work with Raveena. If the producer chose to replace her and not me, it’s not my fault.”
Raveena had also spoken about the love letters Ajay sent her. Ajay always refused to acknowledge their relationship. He said, “tell Raveena to publish those love letters, even I want to read the figment of her imagination.”

Obviously, the two top heroines of bollywood in love with the same actor, sounds like a movie itself. Raveena and Karishma were the biggest enemy of each other back then. The Andaz Apna Apna co-stars would hit each other with their wigs, step over their feet.
Farah Khan once said in Koffee with Karan, “I was once doing a song with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, long ago, in a film called Aatish. They were both having some kind of teenage spat.”
Karishma and Raveena both used their connections to throw each other out of several films. Even Aamir Khan was worried about their growing hatred while filming for Andaz Apna Apna, “Raveena and Karisma ka anban chal raha tha. Main sochta tha ki ye film kaise khatam hogi.”
You won’t believe what Raveena said in an interview to stardust once, “She (Karishma) can keep Ajay. I am not interested. When Ajay Karisma have babies, they will look like Zebras.”

Eventually, Raveena got married to Anil Thadani and had four children. While Ajay married Kajol. Interestingly, Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani debuted with Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan in Azaad.
