Sandhya Theatre Stampede Update: Pushpa 2 producers gave a cheque of Rs 50 lakhs to the family of the Sandhya theatre tragedy victim. Author and film industry tracker Manobala Vijaybalan took to his instagram and broke the news that the family of the deceased woman was compensated with a cheque of Rs 50,000,00.
He shared a video on X, in which Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 producers are giving the cheque to the family of Revathi who died in Sandhya theatre stampede. Her 9 year old son Sri Teja sustained serious injuries and is currently in a coma.

Allu Arjun Arrest UPDATE: Telangana Court has granted interim bail to Pushpa 2 actor Allu Arjun for 4 weeks. Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13 in connection to a case filed against the actor. A 35 year old woman died in a stampede at Sandhya theatres in Hyderabad during Pushpa 2 preimere. Her 9 year old son sustained injuries. He is currently under treatment.
Earlier:Hyderabad Police have taken Telugu superstar Allu Arjun into custody in connection with a tragic incident that occurred during the premiere of his latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident took place on December 4 at a theater in Hyderabad, where a stampede-like situation unfolded during the screening. Unfortunately, a 35-year-old woman lost her life in the chaos, while her nine-year-old son was rushed to the hospital due to asphyxiation.
Case Against Allu Arjun
The police have filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theater management at the Chikkadpally police station. The case is registered under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), following a complaint from the family of the deceased woman. This legal action comes in the wake of the Sandhya theatre stampede during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule on December 4, where a woman lost her life and her son sustained injuries.

Woman’s Death At Pushpa 2 Screening
The woman has been identified as Revathi as per Police. Her son who survived the stampede has also suffered injuries and is now under treatment.
The incident happened when fans flocked to Sandhya theatre in a hope to catch a glimpse of Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun. At that moment, the crowd went uncontrolled resulting in a stampede that tragically led to the woman’s death. Revathi’s family filed a case against Allu Arjun.
Allu Arjun Approaches High Court
Allu Arjun approached the High Court on Wednesday to quash the FIR filed against him in the case of woman’s death in a stampede. He also requested to hold further proceedings against him including Allu Arjun’s arrest. The High Court will be hearing the matter in coming days. Allu Arjun also offered to pay Rs 25, 00,000 to the family of the deceased.
