Mere Husband Ki Biwi: Arjun Kapoor, who recently impressed audiences as the menacing Danger Lanka in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again (2024), is now shifting gears to comedy. His next film, Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is all set to hit theaters on February 21. Starring alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh, Arjun finds himself caught in a hilariously tricky love triangle.
Mere Husband Ki Biwi Story
The story revolves around Arjun’s character, who is all set to marry Rakul Preet Singh’s character. However, things take a chaotic turn when his ex-wife, played by Bhumi Pednekar, develops retrograde amnesia. Forgetting the past few years—including their divorce—she believes they’re still together, leading to a series of laugh-out-loud moments.
While Mere Husband Ki Biwi plays with the idea of love triangles in a humorous way, Arjun admits they’re not so fun in real life. In a conversation with ETimes, he shared, “In this situation, the poor guy’s past comes back because she has lost her memory. That’s not a fun situation in real life. Honestly, no one should be stuck in something like this or try to juggle between two people. It’s just not healthy.”
Arjun Kapoor On Relationships
He also pointed out that love triangles often lead to someone getting hurt. Reflecting on relationships, he added, “If you’re single, it’s a different story. You can enjoy yourself. But when you’re in a relationship, you can’t do this.”
Arjun’s personal life has been making headlines, especially after his recent breakup with Malaika Arora. He confirmed at a Diwali party hosted by Raj Thackeray that he is now single. The star-studded event was attended by his Singham Again co-stars Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. After nearly six years together, Arjun and Malaika have decided to part ways.
Arjun Kapoor Wedding Rumours
Addressing ongoing marriage rumors, Arjun kept it straightforward: “If there’s anything to share, I will let you all know. Right now, it’s all about the film and celebrating it.” He emphasized that he prefers to keep his personal life separate from his work.
