India-Pakistan news on war: It started like any other quiet night, until timelines exploded. Around midnight, news broke that India attacked Pakistan targeting terrorist camps and within minutes, Pakistani social media went into a frenzy.
Tweets poured in, WhatsApp groups lit up and everyone seemed to be asking the same thing: “Wait, did India just attack?” From disbelief to full-blown panic, from jokes to nationalist firestorms, the internet in Pakistan turned into a battlefield of its own, chaotic, emotional, and impossible to ignore.
What happened: India Operation Sindoor
India carried out targeted airstrikes under Operation Sindoor, hitting terror infrastructure across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The mission, aimed solely at terrorist camps, was declared a success, with more than militants reportedly neutralized including 10 family members of JeM chief Masood Azhar. The operation comes in direct response to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, where 26 innocent Hindu men were lined up and executed by terrorists.
Under Operation Sindoor, India’s tri-services launched coordinated strikes on nine terror sites linked to LeT and JeM across Pakistan and PoK, hitting key locations in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, and five camps in PoK. Pakistan soon after started indiscriminate firing along the border of Jammu and Kashmir resulting in death of 7 civilians and more than 30 hurt.
How did Pakistani nationals react to India’s airstrike
“Allhumdulillah pak Foj ny pura pura jawab diya hai… Don’t worry,” said a Pakistani on reddit soon after the news broke. Pakistani nationals went on a full panic mode on reddit sub with some asking about their defence army presence and preparation for the war. “Where the f*ck was our Air Defence System?” said another user expressing frustration.
“We have the faith that they dont have. We fight in the way of Allah. We wish to get martyred and have the place in jannah. Surely Allah will help us,” said one.
“I was wondering when India launched missiles only from their territory, how Pakistan is claiming to take down their 4 or 5 jet fighters when no plane was ever entered in our air space?” questioned a Pak citizen. There have been fake images going viral on social media by Pakistan media showing Indian jets crushed or destroyed, however, the Press Information Bureau fact checked and declared those images totally false.
