Income Tax Raids On Tollywood Producers: In a dramatic turn of events, the Telugu film industry finds itself under scrutiny as the Income Tax Department launched extensive raids on Tuesday.
Several influential personalities, including film producer and Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) chairman Dil Raju, his business partner Shirish, his daughter Hansitha Reddy, and key personnel from Mythri Movie Makers, such as Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar, were targeted.

Dil Raju is a towering figure in the Telugu film industry, celebrated for producing blockbuster hits under his banner, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC). With films like Dil, Arya, and Bommarillu, he has shaped the industry’s modern narrative.

Income Tax Raids On Tollywood Producers
Although the Income Tax Department has not disclosed specific details, sources suggest the raids are linked to suspected tax evasion.
Films like Pushpa 2, Game Changer, and Sankranthi Vasthunna have involved massive budgets and significant earnings, prompting an investigation into potential financial irregularities.
Over 55 teams conducted searches at multiple locations, including the residences and offices of Dil Raju and Mythri Movie Makers’ personnel.
