Emergency Movie-Kangana Ranaut: Kangana Ranaut during an interview to the IANS opened up about what she thinks of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. She also revealed that she invited Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to watch her next film Emergency

“I actually met Priyanka Gandhi in the parliament. And the first thing I told her was, ‘You should watch the emergency’. She was very gracious. She said, ‘Yeah maybe’. So let’s see if they would want to watch the film,” said Kangana Ranaut during the Emergency promotional events.

Kangana Ranaut in her upcoming movie Emergency, is playing India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. While talking about Indira Gandhi, Ranaut said, “I think she was very loved and celebrated. Being a three-time Prime Minister is not a joke. She was loved and celebrated.”

“And I have taken great care to portray Mrs. Gandhi with great dignity. Because I see when I started to do a lot of research, there was so much focus and so much material about her personal life, whether it was her relationship with her husband or many friends or controversial equations,” she said. 

Emergency Release Date

Kangana Ranaut’s movie Emergency will release on 17th January 2025. Apart from Kangana Ranaut, Emergency cast include Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Satish Kaushik, Shreyas Talpade and more. The movie tells the story of India under an emergency (1975-77) imposed by Mrs Indira Gandhi.
