Chhaava Movie Review: Chhaava, a much-awaited historical action film in Hindi, is all set to release on February 14, 2025. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, the movie brings to life the story of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the brave son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Vicky Kaushal takes on the lead role, portraying the fearless warrior, while Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna will be seen as the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. The film is based on Shivaji Sawant’s famous Marathi novel Chhava, which beautifully captures Sambhaji Maharaj’s struggles, courage, and determination.

Adding to the excitement, the film’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Recently, the makers released a teaser for the song Jaane Tu, which is set to launch tomorrow. The teaser gives a glimpse of the chemistry between Vicky and Rashmika, with a grand palace backdrop. In the scene, Rashmika, as Maharani Yesubai, welcomes Sambhaji Maharaj with a puja thali, creating a visually stunning moment. The song, sung by Arijit Singh, is expected to win hearts.
Chhaava Movie Controversy Over Dance
Despite the buzz, the film has also faced some controversy. A dance sequence was removed after objections from certain political and historical groups. Director Laxman Utekar assured that the movie stays true to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s legacy.
With its powerful storytelling, brilliant performances, and soulful music, Chhaava promises to be a grand cinematic experience. Fans are eagerly counting down the days to its release next month.
